The interstate laws Sly thinks are ‘far more practical’ than Victoria’s machete ban

Sly of the Underworld has outlined the laws which have been implemented interstate which are “far more practical” than Victoria’s machete ban.

The ban on the sale of machetes comes into effect at midday today, but the veteran crime writer thinks it won’t achieve much.

“You do realise that most of these offenders are criminals, and you do realise that mostly they steal them,” Sly told Ross and Russ.

“These are laws that are not made up by Victoria Police or me, these are laws that are working and exist.”
