Switzerland will head to the polls later this year to vote on a plebiscite to cap its population at 10 million people.

3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott says Australia should follow suit.

“Every year, we seem to have immigration totals, which are far higher than what most of us thought would be reasonable, but … politicians never ask us,” he said.
