Former Australia Post boss Ahmed Fahour is selling his Hawthorn mansion.

And he’s hoping to get as much as $44 million for it.

Neil Mitchell spoke with Marcus Chiminello, the man selling it, on Wednesday.

“It’s serene, it’s private … to have a little over a hectare of land, only a few kilometres from the CBD … it’s like you’re on a private estate in the country, but you’re in the middle of Hawthorn,” he said.

“It’s so unique.”

Mr Fahour bought the house for $22 million only five years ago.
