Neil Mitchell says three key questions must be answered after the Victorian government sensationally withdrew from hosting the Commonwealth Games due to financial concerns.

The 3AW Mornings host called for the the state to cancel the games back in May, but said that didn’t absolve the Premier and senior ministers from answering questions about how they got it “so wrong” in the first place.

“This is mismanagement at a new level,” he said.
