The King of Moomba explains why the festival is ‘more important than ever’

This year’s Moomba king says Melbourne’s festival is “more important” than ever before.

The beloved Peter Hitchener is urging Melburnians to get behind the event this weekend.

“It shows that we’re coming through COVID and Melbourne is back in business,” he told Ross and Russel.

He also revealed there might be a few surprises on the cards!
