The latest update as police launch fresh search for Samantha Murphy’s body

Police have renewed their search for Samantha Murphy’s body in an area south of Ballarat.

The search, which began earlier this week, was hampered on Wednesday due to wet weather, but will resume again on Thursday as conditions improve.

Channel 10 reporter Jess Maggio a specific area near Ballarat has been the subject of a major search for around a month.

“(Police) have been searching a 3km radius which they say is dangerous because it’s riddled with known and unknown mine shafts.” she said on 3AW Drive.
