Sperm counts have fallen 52 per cent in the past five decades, with chemicals in products such as teflon pans, nail polish and tin can linings linked to the decline.
Medical Director at IVF Australia, Associate Professor Peter Illingworth, says there is a lot of “indirect evidence” linking chemicals to the declining sperm counts, which is leading to couples struggling to get pregnant.
