The little-known land tax provision that Tom Elliott couldn’t believe is true

Due to a little-known provision in the Land Tax Act, if you fail to pay your land tax, the amount could be added to your mortgage.

“When I was told about this, I thought there’s no way this could be true,” Tom Elliott said.
