The Logies are leaving Melbourne and Tom Elliott won’t miss it!

It’s fair to say Tom Elliott won’t miss the Logies in Melbourne.

It’s been announced the TV awards night is leaving Melbourne, with the Victorian Government no longer willing to pay $1 million to host it.

“I had no idea that the Logies – to which only people in the TV industry are invited – was subsidised by the state,” the 3AW Drive host said.

“I say get rid of it – good riddance!

“We on earth should taxpayers pay for the industry’s night of nights when most of us simply cannot attend.”
