The media ‘obsession’ Tom Elliott cannot understand when it comes to the AFL

Tom Elliott says he cannot understand the “obsession” some sections of the media have with gay AFL players.

It comes after the ABC placed a microscope on the issue on Four Corners with an “investigation” on why the AFL has never had an openly gay footballer.

“I actually don’t care if a footballer is gay,” the 3AW Drive host said on Wednesday. “It is irrelevant – irrelevant – to how they play the game.”
