The Melbourne girl whose parents won ?33 million in the UK lottery
A Melbourne woman has told Ross and John about the moment her parents told her they’d won ?33 million ($68.4m) in the UK lottery.
Lisa Martin, who moved to Australia from Scotland five years ago, was driving to work from her Hawthorn gym on Monday when her mother called.
She asked her pull over the car.
‘I instantly thought something bad had happened,’ Lisa told 3AW Breakfast.
‘And then she said ‘We won the lottery’ and I was like ‘Shut up!’.’

Lisa, 26, will fly home – ‘hopefully in the pointy end’ of the plane – to Scotland in coming days to celebrate with her parents.
But the family’s life-changing win won’t keep her from Melbourne.
‘I love it. No plans on going home. I’m staying here.’
