As many as one-in-five people could have misophonia, a condition where you have a strong negative reaction to a specific sound.

And one type of sound is more common than others when it comes to ticking people off.

“The most triggering sounds are eating sounds,” Silia Vitoratou, from the King’s College London, told 3AW Breakfast.
