The Australian Human Rights Commission has offered a submission to the Senate to combat “misinformation” on climate change, a move which has concerned Tom Elliott.

The 3AW Mornings host stated no one should be silenced for having a dissenting view.

“When anybody says, the science is settled about something, that is not true, the science is never settled,” he said.

Press PLAY to hear his full comments on the Human Rights Commission’s submission

Physicist and author Peter Ridd was sacked for having a different opinion on the health of the Great Barrier Reef, and weighed in on the Human Rights Commission’s submission.

“They are obviously running scared,” Ridd told Tom Elliott.

Press PLAY to hear him take exception to the commission’s climate change stance

“They can see that they’re going to have to introduce legislation, because people are not buying it.

“It shows they are getting desperate.”
