The Liberal Party have released the first ‘diss track’ of the federal election campaign, taking aim at the Labor Party and the Albanese government’s management of the cost of living crisis.

The song is called ‘Leaving Labor’, and 3AW host Heidi Murphy wasn’t a huge fan of the song after giving it a listen!

“I think they’ve Raygun’d it, turned in the lamest performance of all-time deliberately in the hope it goes viral,” she said on 3AW Drive.

Political marketing expert at the Australian National University, Dr Andrew Hughes, thinks the song is a smart political move by the Liberal Party.

“It gets our attention straight away,” Dr Hughes told Heidi Murphy.
