The new research revealing Aussie car purchase habits

Car dealers have revealed Australians are preferring SUVs over any other car as drivers keep their cars for longer as the cost-of-living crisis continues.

Chief executive of the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce, Geoff Gwilym, says Australian drivers are catching up to their American counterparts.

“The United States – their fuel efficiency … standards are higher than ours, and yet we’ve got bigger SUVs than they do,” he told Ross and Russel.
