The NSW prison program Sly says Victoria needs to follow

Sly of the Underworld has called on the Victorian government to follow NSW’s lead and use prisoners to help train assistance dogs.

He said all of society would benefit from the program.

The dogs are trained by prisoners in NSW and help those in the community with PTSD.

“What these dogs do is just beyond dispute – they save lives,” Sly said on 3AW Breakfast.

“It’s one of the best initiatives going around in Australia.

“It’s good for the prisoners, it’s good for everybody, so get it into Victoria.”
