Tom Elliott is calling on the state government to drop what he’s describing as an “anti-car mentality” in decision-making.

The 3AW Mornings host said he’s fed up with people being treated “as though they’re evil” if they opt to drive a diesel-powered vehicle over an electric one.

“The anti-car mentality of all levels of government,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

“That’s what I would change.”
