The one question Tom Elliott would like to see potential politicians answer

In an effort to avoid embarrassing revelations emerging in future politicians, the Liberal Party is requiring pre-selection candidates to disclose their past dating history and drug and alcohol habits.

They’re being asked to complete a questionnaire with almost 100 questions.

Tom Elliott says there is one question he’d love all politicians to answer before putting themselves up for public office.

“I’d like them to detail their work history, outside of politics,” the 3AW Drive host said.

“I’d like to see they’ve actually done things for the community and not just for themselves.

“I don’t really care who they have been out with, or how much they drink on the weekend.

“I do want to see if they’re capable, in advance, of making a contribution to society.”
