‘The pendulum is swinging’: Tom Elliott explains why ‘the time has come’ for nuclear power

Tom Elliott says “the time has come” for nuclear power to be be put in place in Australia.

It comes as a poll by The Australian showed from 1245 people, 55 per cent either strongly or somewhat approve of nuclear power, with the 3AW Mornings host stating “it’s a good thing”.

He also accused the Labor party of “sticking its head in the sand” on the topic.

Pro-nuclear campaigner and 17-year-old, William Shackel, echoed a similar sentiment to Tom Elliott, stating nuclear power is clean and reliable.

“From a young person’s perspective, it makes no sense why we would have a ban on nuclear energy,” Mr Shackel told Tom Elliott.
