Boxing Day means sales, cricket… and movies.

It’s the biggest day of film releases for the year as moviegoers flock to the cinema to escape the summer heat.

Macquarie Radio movie commentator Dale Sinden ran Tony Jones through this year’s best options, including:

  • Aquaman — “A big special effects film”
  • The Favourite — “A very entertaining film, but it comes with a warning”
  • Vice — “Quite biting”

“There’s pretty much something for everybody,” Dale said.

Vice – the story of Dick Cheney’s rise in the Bush administration – particularly caught Dale’s attention.

“I’d give it about eight out of ten,” he said.

“I’ll watch anything Christian Bale is in.”

Dale said Ralph Breaks The Internet is the pick of the kids movies.
