The ‘positive trend’ developing in high school graduates across the country
More year 12 graduates are heading straight into the workforce, rather than going to university or through a trade.
According to the Education Department, university enrolments among year 12 graduates in Victoria fell to their lowest percentage since 2014, with 24.3 per cent of graduates going straight into the workforce last year.
Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry CEO, Paul Guerra, believes it’s a “positive trend”.
