The proposals that threaten to overwhelm Victoria’s power supply

New data centre proposals are threatening Victoria’s power demand past total current supply, which could then send electricity bills skyrocketing.

Director of the Victoria Energy Policy Centre at Victoria University, Professor Bruce Mountain, joined Heidi Murphy to weigh in on the issue.

“If all of them come to fruition, the capacity of the network will not nearly be enough,” Professor Mountain said.
