President of the Australian Medical Association Queensland, Dr Nick Yim, says the discussion has been prompted by a few different issues.

“From a healthcare perspective, unfortunately, we are seeing, tragically, some serious accidents occurring with bike riders, e-scooters … that’s often involved potentially inexperienced riders riding in the wrong location with cars,” he said.
