The ramifications the ongoing police industrial action may have on the AFL Grand Final and parade

Victoria Police will be ramping up their industrial action in the lead up to the AFL Grand Final next week from 7am this morning.

It comes after almost 15,000 officers this week voted to escalate their campaign for better pay and working hours.

Secretary of the Victorian Police Association Wayne Gatt is hoping it will put the pinch on the state government.

“You should expect to see the police there, just know everyone that you’re not looking at is costing the state government probably double what it would’ve otherwise,” Gatt told Shane McInnes on 3AW Drive.
