The reason it’s ‘crucial’ Australia accelerates 5G uptake

The CEO of The Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association says there are “huge economic benefits” to be gained if Australia keeps accelerating its 5G uptake.

But Tom Elliott admits he’s found it underwhelming.

Louise Hyland said there was no doubt 5G provided faster and better quality internet.

“It is crucial,” she said.
