The reasons behind collecting designer handbags

Designer handbags can have significant value, and a Blackburn woman found out the hard way when her house was broken into and up to $250,000 worth of designer handbags were stolen.

It is estimated this amounts to 50 designer handbags.

Fashion Editor at the Australia Financial Review, Lauren Sams, believes handbags are collected as investments and increase in value over time.

“The resale price, even if the handbag has been used lightly, can be either very close to the retail price or sometimes even higher,” she told Dee Dee.
