Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have become husband and wife in a star-studded ceremony which broke from royal tradition in more ways than one.

A rather enthusiastic sermon from an American preacher saw Prince William and Prince Charles struggling to stifle their giggles.

The ceremony also had an unusual but moving musical inclusion, a performance of Stand by Me by a gospel choir.

The now Duchess of Sussex wore a full-sleeve fitted gown designed by the British head of the French fashion house Givenchy, Clare Waight Keller.

The happy couple kissed outside the chapel and took an open carriage ride around Windsor in front of a crowd of more than 100,000 people.

A stream of celebrity guests were present for the ceremony at St George’s chapel at Windsor Castle including David and Victoria Beckham, George and Amal Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Elton John, Idris Elba and James Blunt are some of the celebrities who have arrived at St George’s Chapel, along with Kate’s sister Pippa and her husband James Matthews.

The cast of the TV series Suits were also present for the wedding of their former colleague.
