It’s understood three friends were out in a boat on China Bay, in the vicinity of Warneet, when their vessel ran out of fuel at 3:30pm yesterday afternoon.

Two men made it to shore but the third man hadn’t been accounted for.

Police say the young men aged in their early 20s, hadn’t been forthcoming with further information surrounding the incident.

The boat was not fitted with flares, a radio or safety equipment, but has since been towed to shore.
