‘The sort of person we need’: Neil Mitchell’s red hot tip to run for lord mayor

Neil Mitchell has given his red hot tip on who will run for lord mayor after Sally Capp’s announcement last week when she stated she will not be re-contesting her position.

The former 3AW Mornings host told Heidi Murphy on 3AW Drive “it would have to be something extraordinary for him not to do it”.

“I think he’s the sort of person we need because that’s part of my broader point, democracy is broken,” he said.

An independent parliamentary standards commission is to be set up in Canberra, with Neil Mitchell taking some politicians to task in light of the news.

“These people need lessons in ethics,” he said.
