The staggering fees some childcare centres will charge from July
Some childcare centres are charging more than Year 12 fees at Victoria’s most expensive private school, analysis by the Herald Sun has revealed.
The analysis found some childcare centres will charge families $47,760 per year before subsidies from July.
There are concerns rising childcare fees will negate any financial relief delivered to families by the increase in government childcare subsidy rebates, but president of The Australian Childcare Alliance, Paul Mondo, says he “would expect the large majority of families to come out slightly ahead”.
