Almost three million Australians are expected to ditch their health insurance this year.

Rising costs are said to be the driving factor.

Research from Finder found one-in-seven Australians did not plan on renewing their private health insurance this year.

Tim Bennett from Finder told Tom Elliott it showed cost was a “big issue” for many.
