The staggering number of drivers not wearing seatbelts

Newly installed Road safety cameras have detected more than 7000 people driving without seatbelts between March and June this year.

Assistant commissioner of road policing at Victoria Police Martin O’Brien said “the reality is … if you’re not wearing a belt, you are likely to succumb to serious trauma or death”.
