A young Auskicker stole the show on Saturday when he presented Jack Riewoldt with his premiership medal, calling his hero a “legend”.

Mac was one of a number of kids who wore microphones during the presentation, which captured him saying, “Congratulations, you’re a legend” to Riewoldt as he put the medal around his neck.

But as Neil Mitchell revealed on 3AW Mornings, Riewoldt sent the young footballer a video message three months ago saying he hoped Mac would be the one to award him his premiership medal.

What a prediction!

“It’s been a big weekend,” Mac told Neil Mitchell.
