The story on baby gender selection which disturbed Tom Elliott

A story relating to baby gender selection has come to Tom Elliott’s attention this morning, and it’s disturbed the 3AW Mornings host.
A single mum, who has two boys and a girl, has decided to fly overseas to have IVF and ensure her fourth child is a girl.
“I have a bit of a problem with this,” Elliott said.
Press PLAY to hear him explain why
Human rights expert at Monash University, Paula Gerber, says people don’t realise there are some serious medical consequences, after a US doctor stated it’s “absolutely ridiculous” the option to select a baby’s gender isn’t available in Australia.
“This is not a good idea,” Ms Gerber told Ross and Russ on 3AW Breakfast.
Press PLAY to hear her strong stance on baby gender selection
“All children should be intrinsically valued for who they are, not because of what sex they are.”
