The ‘surprise’ new tax set to hit thousands of Victorian property owners

A new land tax is set to catch many people by surprise as the new year begins, according to Domain Managing Editor Alice Stolz.

Victorians who own multiple properties are set to be hit with the new tax, with almost 400,000 people set to be affected.

“This (new tax) was introduced by the government late last year and it took many people by surprise,” Alice Slotz told Tony Jones on 3AW Mornings.
