The technology which could contribute tens of billions to the Australian economy
A report by the Tech Council of Australia and Microsoft has found artificial intelligence could contribute $115 billion annually to the Australian economy.
Chief technology officer at Microsoft Australia and New Zealand, Lee Hicken, says while regulation is needed to limit the impact AI has on the careers of Australians – it still has a place in the workplace.
“People talk about this idea of people being replaced … AI is a really powerful task operator, task processor, it doesn’t do what humans do, it doesn’t replace our unique capabilities,” he told Neil Mitchell.
