The ‘three things’ that usually motivate those who refuse COVID-19 vaccines
A social scientist has shared his thoughts on vaccine mandates and what motivates those who are willing to give up their job in the name of not getting vaccinated.
Tom Elliott said he could understand why some didn’t enjoy being told what to do by government, but admits he struggled to comprehend why somebody would give up their job in protest.
Dr Tomas Rozbroj, from Monash University, said most of those who refused to get vaccinated usually did so for a combination of three reasons.
“Intense fear and anxiety, deeply held values and beliefs, and the kind of environment that these things play out in,” he said.
