The Mornington Peninsula Shire Council is trialling technology which will use a high pitched noise inaudible to humans in order to deter kangaroos from going on roads.

Councillor at Mornington Peninsula Shire, David Gill, says a virtual fence has gone up.

“They’re little stakes in the road that are flexible … they emit that noise, and the idea is having them on both sides, and it seems to be working very well,” he told 3AW Mornings.
