The Ukraine development Tom Elliott says Australia ‘could do without’
Tom Elliott says Australia should think twice about sending troops to Europe to help train Ukrainian soldiers.
It comes after Richard Marles flagged it as a consideration for the Australian government on Tuesday.
“I think this is a step Australia need not take,” Tom Elliott said in response.

Dr John Blaxland, defence policy guru at the Australian National University, said he was “a little bit nervous” by the reports.
“I am worried we are not very good at walking and chewing gum – we can get distracted,” he said,
“We have not been very good at investing in our own neighbourhood.”
