The ‘uncharacteristic’ spike of influenza in Victorian children
Influenza has spiked in Victorian children, with a doctor deeming the spike “uncharacteristic”.
Hospital admissions in children has more than doubled in Victoria from this time last year.
“What we’ve seen this year is uncharacteristic,” Dr Jeremy Carr, Monash Children’s Hospital Head of Infection and Immunity, told Ross and Russel.
