Australian cricketer Steve Smith recently revealed he is suffering a spate of vertigo during the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup in India.

Smith’s revelation prompted Tom Elliott to ask what vertigo really is.

Royal Melbourne Hospital neurologist Dr Andrew Evans said the condition affected a lot of people and could be linked with anxiety.

“30 per cent of people at some stage (in their life) experience vertigo and it’s very common reason someone presents to the emergency department,” Dr Evans said on 3AW Drive.
