The worst offenders for phone use while driving
Victorians aged in their thirties have been caught using their phone while driving more than any other age group, senior police have revealed.
Those aged 30 to 39-year-olds have received 32 per cent of fines for phone use in the car in the past three years, with those in their 40s found to be the second-worst offenders, followed by 25 to 29-year-olds.
Acting Assistant Commissioner Road Policing at Victoria Police, Justin Goldsmith, says it’s “an age range where we expect more and they should know better”.
