The year 11 student fighting the ban on nuclear energy

Tom Elliott

A year 11 student in Brisbane has addressed a Senate committee after submitting his case for the end of the ban on atomic energy.

William Shackel also leads the first youth-led campaign for nuclear energy – Nuclear for Australia.

“Australia is experiencing a climate and energy crisis and we need absolutely every solution on the table, especially proven solutions like nuclear energy,” Mr Shackel told Neil Mitchell.
