Crashes between cars and deer are on the rise in Eastern Victoria because thieves keep stealing deer road signs, according to the local MP.

Tim Bull, Member for Gippsland East told Justin and Kate the “explosion” of the deer population is keeping local panel beaters busy.

“It doesn’t help when people are taking the signs, motorists aren’t warned,” Mr Bull said.

“I think it’s because they’re very popular in man caves with the deer logo.

“Perhaps we need a more generic wildlife warning sign that won’t be so popular for people’s sheds.”
