An independent MP has weighed in on the numerous student protests and encampments at universities across Melbourne.

Independent member for Goldstein, Zoe Daniel, says the right to protest is incredibly important, and there’s a fine line between free speech and hate speech.

“To be honest, I do think there’s an issue around anti-semitism at our universities, and that predates October 7, there’s a documented increase in anti-semitism across the world,” she said on 3AW Drive.
