There is something most people under 35 have never had.

“Many of them have never had a pay rise,” Danielle Wood, CEO of the Grattan Institute, told 3AW Breakfast.

“Many of the younger age group have entered the job market at a time when wages have not been moving, at least in terms of the amount of stuff we can buy in terms of our wages.

“Basically, since 2008, wages have been pretty stagnant and not risen much faster than inflation.”
