The experience of going to the footy at the MCG in 2025 is being ruined by flashing lights and blaring music, according to a former MP.

Barrister and former Labor MP Tony Lupton says he’s “really annoyed” with the current match day experience at the home of footy.

“There’s no respite or let up (with the lights and loud music),” he told Tony Jones.

“In Melbourne, we love the footy and want to talk to our friends at quarter time (about the game).”
