‘They couldn’t run a chook raffle’: Jacqui Felgate reacts to the Allan government’s new top cop blunder

There has been doubt raised over the eligibility of incoming Victoria Police chief commissioner Mike Bush, which has caused the Allan government to scramble.

The former New Zealand top cop is set to take over on the 27th of June, with the government ramming through an urgent amendment late on Wednesday night.

“I think right now when you look at this state, they couldn’t run a chook raffle,” Felgate said on 3AW Drive.

“It’s another example of the government that’s caught on the hop, but at the same time an opposition that’s too busy looking inside themselves rather than holding the government to account.”
