Thief shuts off power before robbing Avondale Heights home

A man has shut off the power to a family home in Melbourne’s west before robbing the place.

The incident happened in broad daylight on Thursday, March 24.

Investigators believe the thief turned off the power to the Madfield Avenue home at Avondale Heights, jumped the back fence and broke in through the back door.

He stole an iPad and jewellery.

An image has been released of a suspect today.

He’s described as caucasian, aged in his 30s and was wearing a red and black checkered shirt.
