VIDEO: Thieves ram car in desperate dash after early morning break and enter

Desperate thieves have rammed an oncoming car while making a mad dash from the scene after a break and enter at an Airport West business.

Chris told Neil Mitchell he was woken up at 4.30am to find a van in the driveway of his family business on CCTV cameras.

He said his father’s car was rammed as the thieves tried to make a quick getaway.

The footage shows police chasing the van as the offenders make a mad dash, but Chris said the pursuit was called off.

“They decided to drive backwards through my roller door, they caused a lot of damage,” he told Neil Mitchell.

“I called my dad straightaway, at the time I didn’t know someone had broken in.

“Dad made his way down there. I called the police after I found out they were actually ramming the property, and dad happened to get there 10 seconds afterwards.”

It’s believed police are still looking for the alleged offenders.
